Description
Our last event is
Saturday August 14th. Warm-up is 10:00 am at the Rancho
Bernardo HS pool and the event will start at 10:30. Please be
there on time!!!
The kids need to be thinking of
what 3 events they want to swim at this competition. Again,
they can only choose 3. This event is somewhat different than
the others. At this one, only the top 8 swimmers in each
event will get awards. What that means is that if there are
16 swimmers in the 10/U freestyle event for the girls, only the top
8 places will receive awards. It is important to stress to
the children that they are trying to get best times, and not
necessarily awards as not everyone will get one.
The awards at this event will be
handed out to the swimmers immediately following the last
event. If you can stay until the end, Coaches Amanda and
Janne will find a spot for everyone to sit and have an awards
ceremony!
We will need timing and a writer
in each lane for this event. Our team would need about 6-8
volunteers as we also need 1-2 people in the scoring booth.

Directions to the pool:
I-15 to Camino Del Norte, head east. Make left at the light
on Paseo Lucido. Turn
right at the first light on Avenida Venusto. The parking lot
to the school is on the left. Park in the far left corner and
walk up the paved road on the right to the pool.
